Willy Godziemba-Maliszewski is a recognized antiques conservator and furniture maker, a Maître Ébéniste Cabinetmaker by training who learned his art in Europe and America. He was the founder and proprietor of London Joiners Ltd., 1981 to 2018 (now run by his son James in Pound Ridge NY). Willy has lectured at many historical societies, among them the New Canaan Historical Society, the Ridgefield Historical Society, the Pound Ridge Historical Society, the Bedford Garden Club, the Connecticut League of Historical Societies, and Caramoor.

Apart from his expertise in conservation, he is a recognized furniture designer and maker. An expert in forensic detection of antique fakery, his opinions have resulted in several cases of money being returned by dealers to buyers of misrepresented "antiques".

He has been a guest on Faith Middleton’s National Public Radio Home Show. He has several times been voted “Best of” in Fairfield and Westchester county magazines, and has been interviewed by Norton and Caramoor.
